5K a year Purpose of this Job:
Responsible for food preparation, food allocation, customer service and, safety/cleanliness of the deli area.
Essential Functions:
Serves customers in the store that place orders at the deli counter by requesting and recording all orders to ensure accuracy.
Cleans and organizes service and preparation areas in accordance with company safety and maintenance policies and procedures.
Keeps deli case clean, stocked, and maintains fresh product by circulating food through the case in accordance to health and safety standards.
Prepares daily food items, cook simple foods and beverages to include salads, pizza and deli meats and cheeses using proper safety and sanitary measures.
Completes customer food order items by obtaining appropriate items from serving or storage areas and places them in dishes or serving trays in accordance with customer specifications.
Work with other members of the deli department in a team environment and with a cooperative attitude.
Must be able to deal with difficult and or angry customers in a calm and professional manner.
Must be able to work attentively with electric slicing machines, warming tables, deep fryers, and other automatic food choppers.
Complies with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Equipment used in the Job:
Bar code reader, point of service scanner, scale, commercial deep fryers, automatic dicers and food choppers, automatic slicers and vertical cutters, electric warming tables, steam counters, general store software.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum of a high school education or General Equivalency Diploma, preferred Experience Requirements:
Previous experience working in a deli department preferred but not required.
Reasoning Ability:
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages.
Ability to identify discrepancies or potential problems.
Ability to identify potential safety and or health hazards and understand precautions to prevent health and safety issues.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, labels, pricing structures, and recipes.
Ability to talk to others (internal customers/coworkers and external customers) to convey information effectively and professionally.
Typical Physical and Mental demands of the Job:
Concentration, attentiveness, independent judgment and discretion, manage multiple tasks, read and comprehend instructions and work orders.
Must have great attention to details.
Must be able to see, hear, bend, stoop and reach, and stand for long periods of time, use hands, lift up to 50 pounds manually.
Work Environment:
Standing for entire shift, minus breaks and meal periods.
Exposed to changes in temperature while working in the freezer and coolers or near deep frying equipment.
Has the potential to be exposed to various degrees in temperature while working in various areas of the market, including dock, stockroom, coolers, freezers, deli and front area of the store.
Other Considerations:
Must be 18 years of age to work with deli equipment.
Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Must be service oriented, looking for ways to assist people.
Ability to understand principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
